F.A.Q.

Q. What games do you play?

A. We play Milsim on Arma 2, and we play casually on strategy games and FPS’s such as Red Orchestra 2 and EU4.

Q. What are the requirements for joining?

A. A legitimate copy of Arma 2 Combined Operations, a computer good enough to reliably run it, a working microphone and a good attitude. We recognize young players may be mature and older players may be immature and we account for this.

Q. What settings do you guys play on?

A. We play with First Person perspective, no exceptions. BLUFORCE trackers and GPS are disabled unless mission calls for it. We don’t use thermal vision except for the FLIR in our helicopters, and long range optics are few and far between. Those in charge of a team or squad are equipped with maps and VHF radios, while the average soldier does not possess a map or VHF. Their responsibilities are to be attentive to his sector and his role, not the overall activity of command. Weapon damages are high and health is low. A couple rifle rounds to the chest can reliably drop someone.

Q. What weapons do you use?

A. We emulate roles in the USMC, and we emulate the USMC’s weapons. Depending on the setting of the mission we may be emulating current modern weapons or weapons used in the past. Loadouts are chosen for a player, there is no crowding around weapon boxes and picking gear in a mess, everything you are supposed to have is given to you by the server.

Q. Do you guys have ranks?

A. Yes, but it’s not the same as most clans. Your rank is given to you by your appointment only. You reach an appointment by your dedication to be in that role and your ability to perform in that role. Your online rank is simply a reflection of your milsim role within the unit, not bragging rights or the amount of time you have been in.
